Hello, my name is Michelle, but people call me Chelle and I am the host of this website.

 

I have in my possession the following microfilm:

 

"Roll 20 1935 FLA State Census Marion Co (33) - Orange Co (12)"

 

The counties on this roll are listed just to your left of the screen. I have taken the the time to transcribe at least one precinct per county. I originally purchased this roll for the Okaloosa County census data. But as I took notice of what I had not unlike my Kentucky transcription, I choose to share. More information on each precinct can be found here, to include information such as faded pages.

 

More than likely I will go back thru the various counties and continue the transcriptions. Otherwise LOOKUPS upon request. I did however want to show people that the information is out there, even though each county may only have one precinct done right now. I have made efforts to notify the county coordinators associated with each of these counties.

 

        The 10th census of Florida entailed the following information from people:

 

  • Surname

  • First Name

  • Address

  • Inside/Outside of city limits

  • Gender

  • Age

  • Race

  • Relationship to family

  • Place of Birth

  • Degree of Education

  • Owner or Renter

  • Occupation

 

Sites will be updated as individual precincts are finished.

(I am transcribing the various counties and I type for a few hours a day or several times a week.

I will post the next precincts as they are finished.)

 

I take volunteering very serious as you will see.

If I do not transcribe for a while it means I have burnt out a bit and I need a break.

 

I am a native Floridian but my roots also come from KY. I live in TN, but I hail from Dade County, FL.

Homestead is still my home!!
